  1. You guys need a radial arm drill lol...Im a tool maker and I'm not hand drilling shit. Quick and dirty and you might not have space for one but damnit it drives me nuts.
  2. Risky using a impact on tap, how many taps have broken and what material are the taps?
    I normally use a slide hammer on the ford transit head core plugs, will be trying the spacer method and bolt.
    If fitting a bolt I'd recommend PTFE tape, pressure test has failed in the past, so PTFE tape when replugged (grub screw)
  3. That's literally how I tap threads every time I need to make something with pass through holes. I do it at least once a month to cut thread into pipe for new construction.
  4. But what do you use those brass shavings for??? The real machinist will have the answer to that question πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹
  5. I asked my dad what that bit was for yesterday after organizing his tools over 40 years. Tools NOT made in China. I was shocked. Quality tools that last forever and have a value most people will never understand. Stuff that you will never see in a landfill like Harbor Fri…..
