  1. The volatility in crypto is due to so many retail investors constantly cashing out, and buying in. If institutional money enters en masse, it will temper a lot of the volatility.
  2. it's my birthday month and everything on the market is down I'm buying myself all kinds of President's all year . plus gifts for my Bussiness Partner
  3. Buy the dip. FAAMG stocks (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google) are such cash cows, and their stocks have dropped -27% since the highs in 11/2021 that I expect they would buy back their shares.

    Here's why:
    - people have jobs, under 4% unemployment
    - banks report the highest balances in people's accounts
    - house values are way up, people can always pull out the equity for cash
    - credit card sales for restaurants and hotels are up.
    - Back to school will increase retail sales. I have to buy the kids a new Apple Macbook and iPad and dorm stuff.

Nothing to worry about. Q1 is historically low retail sales for the last 4 years.
Morgan Stanley data shows that credit and debit card spending are way up (restaurants and hotel), but people just aren't buying lowend retail (Walmart, Target) as much.
Side note: the news media are against social media because advertisers have left them and now mostly advertise on social media.
  4. I love this show so far, my boy put me on last week and I've tuned into the last two episodes and want to thank you all for the insight and perspectives you guys provide on the market. Any chance you can guys can turn up your mics a bit? I'm in nyc and unfortunately can only listen when I'm inside with quite surroundings, when I walk outside I can't hear you guys at all.
  5. I’m sorry but I’m not sold on Nike. With inflation, prices are set to increase past some consumers ability to spend. China is constantly in and out of Covid lockdowns, which will affect the producer price. Consumers are burning through their savings, which will leave less money to spend on sneakers. And Troy mentioned AMEX, but I would be more comfortable with Visa or Mastercard as an investment.
  6. Blessings to everyone during this blood bath. I pray that everybody peace of mind during this time.
I’m in the stock club and eyl. I’ve watched the holy trinity of investing keynote and have the targets however, does anybody know if Ian has talked about how to look for setups to short? I feel like I know I should be shorting, but every time I do I feel like I’m either too late or too early on the trade.
